Hey AI Breakers 👋

Job hunting is brutal. Scrolling through hundreds of listings, tailoring your CV for each one, wondering if you’re even applying to the right roles.

What if Claude could handle the hard part?

Today, you’ll build an AI Job Hunter that analyzes your CV, tells you exactly what roles you’re best suited for, helps you improve your resume, and then actually searches real job boards to find matching positions in your target location.

✅ An honest assessment of your CV’s strengths and gaps
✅ A personalized list of roles you’re most likely to land
✅ Specific CV improvements that make recruiters stop scrolling
✅ Real job listings matched to your skills, location, and salary goals
✅ Tailored cover letters and interview prep for your top matches

Let’s build it 👇

🧠 How the AI Job Hunter Works

This system has two phases:

  • 🔍 Phase 1: Know Yourself (Prompts #1-3). Claude analyzes your CV, identifies your strongest selling points, spots gaps recruiters will notice, and tells you exactly which roles you should target.

  • 🎯 Phase 2: Find the Job (Prompts #4-5). Claude connects to a live job board, searches for real openings that match your profile, filters by location and salary, and helps you prepare winning applications.

The old way: Spend 3 hours scrolling job boards, apply to 20 random listings, hear back from zero.

The new way: 30 minutes with Claude. Targeted roles, matched listings, tailored applications.

🔍 Prompt #1 → The CV Deep Dive (Get an Honest Assessment)

Before searching for jobs, you need to know what you’re working with. Upload your CV to Claude and get a brutally honest analysis.

The goal:

  • Identify your top strengths and selling points

  • Spot gaps and weaknesses recruiters will notice

  • Understand how your CV reads to a hiring manager

✅ Use this to see your CV the way recruiters see it

First: Upload your CV (PDF or paste the text) into Claude. Then use this prompt:

Prompt:

You are a senior recruiter with 15 years of experience reviewing CVs across multiple industries.

I just uploaded my CV. Analyze it thoroughly and give me:

1. **Top 3 Strengths**: What stands out positively? What would make a recruiter stop and read more carefully?

2. **Top 3 Weaknesses**: What's missing, unclear, or working against me? Be direct.

3. **First Impression Score** (1-10): If a recruiter spent 6 seconds scanning this CV (which is the average), what score would they give it and why?

4. **ATS Compatibility Check**: Would this CV pass through Applicant Tracking Systems? Flag any formatting issues, missing keywords, or structural problems.

5. **Experience Level Assessment**: Based on my CV, what seniority level do I realistically qualify for? (Entry / Mid / Senior / Lead / Executive)

Be honest, not encouraging. I need the truth, not a pep talk.

💡 Tip: Upload the actual PDF rather than pasting text. Claude can read the formatting, layout, and structure, which matters for the ATS compatibility check.

🧭 Prompt #2 → The Career Compass (Find Your Best-Fit Roles)

Most people apply to job titles they already know. Claude can spot roles you haven’t considered that are actually a better fit.

The goal:

  • Get a ranked list of roles you’re best suited for

  • Discover roles you might not have considered

  • Understand your competitive advantage for each role

✅ Use this to stop wasting time on roles that don’t match your profile

Prompt:

You are a career strategist who specializes in matching candidates to roles where they'll have the highest chance of getting hired.

Based on the CV you just analyzed, give me:

1. **Top 5 Job Titles** I should be targeting, ranked by how likely I am to get hired. For each one:
   - Why I'm a strong fit
   - What percentage of the job requirements I likely meet (be realistic)
   - Expected salary range for [YOUR COUNTRY/REGION]

2. **3 "Hidden Gem" Roles** I probably haven't considered but would be a great fit for based on my transferable skills. Explain why.

3. **Roles to Avoid**: Any popular job titles I might be tempted to apply for but would likely get filtered out? Tell me why so I don't waste my time.

4. **Industry Sweet Spots**: Which 2-3 industries would value my specific skill combination the most?

Focus on roles where I'd be a competitive candidate, not aspirational stretches.

💡 Tip: Customize the [YOUR COUNTRY/REGION] placeholder. Salary ranges and role titles vary massively by market.

✍️ Prompt #3 → The CV Optimizer (Make Recruiters Stop Scrolling)

Now you know your strengths and target roles. Time to make your CV match.

The goal:

  • Get specific, actionable improvements for your CV

  • Optimize for both human recruiters and ATS systems

  • Rewrite weak sections in stronger language

✅ Use this to turn a “maybe” CV into a “definitely interview this person” CV

Prompt:

You are a professional CV writer who has helped 500+ candidates land interviews at top companies.

Based on my CV and the roles we identified as my best targets, give me:

1. **Summary/Profile Rewrite**: Write me a new professional summary (3-4 sentences) optimized for my top target role. Make it specific, not generic.

2. **Experience Bullet Rewrites**: Take my 3 weakest experience bullets and rewrite them using the STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result). Add specific metrics wherever possible. If I didn't include numbers, suggest realistic ones I should quantify.

3. **Missing Keywords**: List 10-15 keywords I should add to my CV based on my target roles. Tell me exactly where to place each one.

4. **Section Order**: Should I reorganize my CV sections? What order would be strongest for my target roles?

5. **One-Page Test**: If I had to cut this CV to one page, what would you remove? What absolutely stays?

Give me the actual rewritten text I can copy-paste, not just suggestions.

💡 Tip: After getting the optimized CV, paste the rewritten sections back into Claude and ask: “Now re-score this updated CV on the same 1-10 scale. What changed?” This validates that the improvements actually moved the needle.

🚨 Now Let’s Have Claude Actually Find Jobs For You

Everything above helps you know yourself better and present yourself stronger. That’s already more than most job seekers do.

But here’s where it gets really interesting.

What if Claude could go out, search real job boards, find openings that match your exact profile, filter by your preferred location and salary, and rank them by how likely you are to get hired?

That’s exactly what we’ll set up next. 👇
