Hey fam ๐Ÿ‘‹ Luis & Rui here with your Monday AI coffee break.

Remember Astra, the model we told you solved 10 open math problems? OpenAI now says it cannot rule out critical cyber capabilities, so it is slowing the whole thing down.

Meanwhile, Claude Code flips Auto Mode on by default, and Perplexity launched something aimed squarely at solo founders.

Prompt of the Week ๐Ÿง

Vendor Lock-In Audit โ†’ Find out what breaks if your main AI tool doubles its price or disappears.

Models get retired on short notice and pricing changes without warning. If one tool vanished tomorrow, would you know which parts of your business stop working? This prompt maps your exposure before it becomes an emergency.

Prompt:

You are a pragmatic operations advisor. I want to audit my exposure
to the AI tools my business depends on.

Here is my stack:
[List each AI tool, what it does for you, what you pay, and roughly
how often you use it]

Work through this in five steps:

1. DEPENDENCY MAP
For each tool, list the specific business processes that would stop
or degrade if it disappeared tomorrow. Be concrete about the output
that goes missing, not the feature.

2. EXPOSURE SCORE
Score each tool 1-5 on: switching difficulty, data trapped inside it,
revenue touched, and how many people depend on it. Show the scores in
a table and flag anything scoring 4 or 5 on two or more dimensions.

3. PRICE SHOCK TEST
For my three highest-exposure tools, model what happens if the price
doubles. Tell me whether I would pay, negotiate, or leave, and what
   that decision costs either way.

4. ESCAPE ROUTES
For each high-exposure tool, name a realistic alternative and describe
what migration actually involves: data export format, rebuild effort,
and what I would permanently lose.

5. THIS MONTH'S ACTIONS
Give me three specific actions to reduce my worst exposure now.
Prioritise ones that take under two hours. For each, say what it
protects and what it does not.

Be blunt. If a dependency is fine to accept, say so instead of
manufacturing a risk.

Where to use it: Ideal for founders and operators running a stack of paid AI subscriptions, and for anyone whose workflows quietly depend on a single model or vendor.
