Prompt of the Week π§
Partnership Prospector β Map your ideal partners and get AI to write the outreach.
Most founders treat partnerships as a manual, gut-feel process. This prompt turns AI into a structured BD analyst: it maps the right partner types for your business, ranks them by fit, and drafts personalized outreach for each.
Prompt:
You are a strategic partnerships advisor. I'm going to describe my business, and I want you to help me build a prioritized partner pipeline and draft outreach for each. Here's my business: - What we do: [brief description of your product/service] - Our customers: [who buys from you and what problem you solve] - Our growth model: [e.g., word-of-mouth, content, paid ads, sales-led, etc.] - Our biggest bottleneck right now: [e.g., distribution, credibility, lead volume, retention, etc.] Do the following in order: 1. PARTNER CATEGORIES: Identify 5 categories of businesses that would make strong partners for us (e.g., tools our customers already use, adjacent services, communities we should be in, influencers/media, resellers or agencies). For each category, explain the strategic logic. 2. SPECIFIC TARGETS: For each category, name 3 real, specific companies or individuals who fit. For each, note: (a) why they're a good fit, (b) what we could offer them, (c) what we'd get in return. 3. PRIORITIZED SHORTLIST: Rank the top 5 targets across all categories by partnership potential. Score each on: strategic fit (1-10), ease of getting a meeting (1-10), and likely impact on our bottleneck (1-10). Show your reasoning. 4. OUTREACH DRAFTS: Write a short, personalized cold outreach message for each of the top 5 targets. Each message should be 3-5 sentences, reference something specific about their business, and clearly articulate the mutual benefit. Avoid generic phrases like "I'd love to connect" or "hope this finds you well." After completing all four steps, ask me: "Which of these targets do you want to go deeper on? I can research their business further, refine the outreach, or help you prep for the first call."
Where to use it: Best for founders and business development leads who want a faster, more systematic approach to partnerships.
