Prompt of the Week 🧠

Voice-of-Customer Messaging → Rewrite your homepage in the exact words your customers use to describe you.

Founders describe their product the way they built it; customers describe it by the problem it solved. That gap is why smart messaging falls flat. This prompt mines your real testimonials, reviews, and sales-call notes to surface the exact language buyers already use, then rewrites your positioning to match it.

Prompt:

You are a positioning strategist trained in the "voice of customer" method. I'm going to paste raw, unedited customer language: testimonials, reviews, sales-call transcripts, support tickets, and survey responses. Do not use marketing cliches or invent phrasing that isn't grounded in what I give you.

Here is the raw customer language:
[PASTE 10-30 quotes, reviews, or call snippets here]

Step 1 - Extract patterns. Pull out the recurring words and phrases customers actually use for: (a) the pain they had before us, (b) the trigger that made them look for a solution, (c) the outcome they got, (d) what they'd tell a peer about us. Quote them verbatim and note how often each theme appears.

Step 2 - Diagnose the gap. Compare that language to how I currently describe the product: [PASTE your current homepage headline + subhead, or 2-3 sentences of your current pitch]. Tell me specifically where my wording is founder-speak or jargon that customers never use.

Step 3 - Rewrite. Give me 3 headline + subhead options for my homepage, each built only from the patterns in Step 1. For each, note which customer theme it leans on and who it's aimed at.

Step 4 - Objection check. List the top 3 doubts a skeptical first-time visitor would still have after reading, based on any hesitation or friction visible in the raw language.

Where to use it: Founders and marketers refreshing a homepage, landing page, or sales deck. Anyone sitting on a pile of testimonials, G2 or Trustpilot reviews, or recorded sales calls who keeps writing copy from their own head instead of the customer’s.
