Prompt of the Week ๐Ÿง

Brand Voice Codifier โ†’ Turn your scattered writing into a reusable style guide every AI (and teammate) can follow.

This prompt reverse-engineers a concrete brand voice guide from samples you already love, so every future AI output, hire, or freelancer sounds unmistakably like you.

Prompt:

You are a brand strategist and editorial director. I'm going to paste 3-5 samples of writing that best represent how my brand should sound (emails, posts, landing pages, or newsletter copy). Your job is to reverse-engineer a reusable brand voice guide from them.

SAMPLES:
[paste 3-5 of your best on-brand pieces here]

Analyze the samples and produce a brand voice guide with these sections:

1. VOICE IN ONE LINE โ€” a single sentence capturing the personality (e.g. "a sharp friend who respects your time").
2. THREE CORE TRAITS โ€” name 3 traits (e.g. direct, warm, slightly irreverent), each with a one-line definition of what it means and does NOT mean for us.
3. DO / DON'T TABLE โ€” at least 8 rows of concrete habits: sentence length, formality, jargon, emoji use, humor, how we open, how we close, how we handle the reader.
4. SIGNATURE MOVES โ€” recurring patterns in the samples (phrasings, rhythms, structures) worth repeating.
5. WORDS WE USE / WORDS WE AVOID โ€” two short lists pulled from or implied by the samples.
6. BEFORE & AFTER โ€” take this generic sentence: "We are excited to announce our new feature that will help improve your workflow." Rewrite it twice in our voice, and briefly explain what changed.
7. THE REUSABLE PROMPT BLOCK โ€” a copy-paste paragraph I can drop at the top of any future AI chat so the model writes in this voice instantly.

Be specific and evidence-based โ€” quote the samples where it helps. Avoid vague advice like "be authentic."

Where to use it: Founders, marketers, and solo operators who lean on AI for writing. Drop the resulting โ€œreusable prompt blockโ€ into ChatGPT, Claude, or your teamโ€™s shared docs so newsletters, sales emails, and social posts all stay on-voice, even when a model or a new hire writes the first draft.
