In the era of Agentic AI, people on LinkedIn and elsewhere are closely monitoring how AI native startups scale. Accounts to follow here and on LinkedIn on this trend specifically:

Note: anything around AI native startups and the intersection of Product and AI is super valuable at this time in mid 2025. Genspark used to be the โ€œChinese Perplexityโ€ to me, but now it has a different vibe.

Gensparkโ€™s Rebirth in Agents โŸณ

Gensparkโ€™s shift to Agents really started around April, 2025. They have raised around $160 million to date and their revenue is increasing rapidly.

Since Gensparkโ€™s pivot from search to agents, itโ€™s seen incredible growth. In mid 2025, a 20-person team grew ARR to $36 million in about 45 days, according to OpenAI. While their Super agent has been getting a lot of attention, so have their constant feature updates.

Try It

Gensparkโ€™s feature updates of new agentic capabilities has been relentless:

Genspark is one of those pseudo Chinese-American U.S. startups. They are based in Palo Alto, California and founded in 2023 by former Baidu executives Eric Jing and Kay Zhu.

In June, 2025 Genspark announced Parallel Tool Calls for AI Agents. In July Genspark shipped no-code personal agents with GPT-4.1.

  • As of mid-July Genspark ranks 16th on โ€™s AI Startup Leaderboard, though I donโ€™t think thatโ€™s up to date.

๐ŸŒฑ There is a pop-myth that an AI native and lean startup or solopreneur might build the next Unicorn. (Remember Base44 – an $80 million exit in six months?)

About This Leaderboard – The Road to “1-Person” Billion Dollar Company

Genspark is likely to rise up this list now in 2025.

Genspark have a lot of interesting Agents

Genspark after its pivot grew its ARR reportedly reached $10 Million in 9 days. I asked my top guide maker of AI Disruptor Newsletter to look into them. Alex is the author around some of our most viral guides on NotebookLM and Perplexity in particular:

Iโ€™m always interested in applied AI and explore more AI tools for and with my readers.

AI Disruptor Newsletter ranks now consistently in the top rising leaderboard for Technology publications. And itโ€™s a credit to Alexโ€™s hands-on approach.

has also been thinking about Genspark for some time:

  • Genspark’s Stunning AI Pivot – Search to Super Agent

  • An AI tool guide overview is in the works on a collab with Daniel and Charlie that should come out in the coming days/weeks.

So not only does Alex make very clear guides, he has a context engineer hacker mindset that I truly appreciate. Finally he makes killer videos.

  • The following guide does include a long-form video tutorial of approx 15 minutes.

  • Itโ€™s a super easy way to get your feet wet on using Genspark agents.

  • Genspark is shipping various agents at a frantic rate and the UX keeps changing. ๐Ÿ˜‰ (I personally consider Genspark a Chinese AI startup even though they are based in California).
