Hello Everyone,
I’m so glad you joined us today. Newsletters are today, a convenient way to absorb useful information in a low effort manner. We’ll be taking a look at three more today related to A.I. It’s Sunday, October, 8th, 2023.
Take a sip of that coffee ☕ and read along with me. I want to inspire you with new writes at the intersection of 🤓 artificial intelligence and the 🔮 future.
During the summer of 2023, I took the liberty of doing a survey of A.I. Newsletters on the web.
That’s how this occasional Sunday series was born. “Good Reads in AI”
To that end, on some Sundays I will feature some Newsletters from the list in a bit more detail. This is a casual series for easy browsing. It’s supposed to simply ✨ spark your interest, thus exposing you to new thinkers, formats, writers, visions of the future and their work.

📖 Good Reads in A.I.
For this series, we will be going in random order through our big list.
1. Data Machina
Category: AI rundown, links, useful, videos and tutorials.
What is it?
DataMachina is a bit like a beehiiv AI Rundown Newsletter, but on Substack, and better. The format Carlos has put into place is highly actionable, educational and useful. Data Machina often embeds YouTube videos, tutorials on machine learning related themes and content that’s very relevant. Highly recommended if you are a software developer trying to get into AI.
Carlos Somohano lives in London and has a history of founding AI and datascience related projects and startups. As such, his Newsletter bring a deep wealth of experience in the field.

2. Bojan Tunguz’s Newsletter
Category: Trending, minimalistic, easy to read, macro trends in AI.
What is it?
Bojan’s Newsletter is an unassuming Newsletter of short snippets related to trending Generative A.I. news by senior systems software engineer and data scientist at Nvidia who is an A.I. influencer on X and LinkedIn in recent times. His snippets on his Newsletter capture the important zeightest A.I. news of the times in very easy to read snippets.
A Stanford Alum, Bojan knows about physics, machine learning, data science and a variety of things. This gives him a unique perspective reporting on Generative A.I. news and trends. To be clear, he is not an essayist or a blogger necessarily here but more of a summarizer (hilarious 😂 and good at packaging memes). A quadruple Kaggle grandmaster, former top 10 Amazon reviewer, and former physicist.

3. State of AI (papers)
Category: AI papers summaries, concepts, machine learning, generative AI coverage.
What is it?
Vox’s State of AI is one of my favorite Newsletters for breaking down A.I. papers. A lot of A.I. influencers do this but typically it’s not so easy to grasp the key points as Vox’s work here. Full disclosure, Vox is one of the biggest recommenders of new readers to A.I. Supremacy. I’m obviously very grateful. If you need to keep track of the most impactful AI papers of the week, I believe premium subscription to his Newsletter is of high value.
State of AI is designed to be your reliable source, bridging the gap between the research community and a broader audience by offering easily digestible and approachable content. Here we are dealing ironically with GPT-4 assisted summaries of A.I. research but of the highest quality and curated straight to your inbox.
What to read?

GPT-4V (ision), Language Modeling Is Compression, LongLoRA, DreamLLM and more 🚀

This concludes our lounging with the A.I. Newsletters, and our cup ☕ of coffee is nearly done.
We can never have enough educational and entertaining content around A.I. on Substack.

As a reader you might find something to read in the long list, which I recommend to 🏷️ bookmark.
